We have one of the region’s most active independent
surveying departments, undertaking over 1000 mortgage
valuations each year for Banks and Building Societies.
In addition, we carry out private standard valuations,
Homebuyers Reports and Building Inspections on behalf
of the general public.
A Bank or Building Society ‘Mortgage Valuation Report’
is not a survey of the property and should not be regarded
as such. This style of valuation report is undertaken
on behalf of the Bank or Building Society simply to determine
whether a property is considered suitable security for
the purpose of mortgage lending. It is therefore wise
to instruct a surveyor in the preparation of the much
more detailed Homebuyers Report or Building Inspection
prior to your purchase and in addition to the standard
Mortgage Valuation Report.
This survey, either a Homebuyers Report or Building Inspection,
is undertaken for your benefit. It is undertaken with
the aim of identifying any problems associated with the
property such as damp, timber infestation, dry rot or
wet rot, wall tie failure, structural movement etc. Surely
it is best to identify these potential problems before
you commit to an expensive purchase?
Contact us now to obtain a no obligation fee quotation
and to discuss the level of survey required. One of our
team of fully qualified and experienced Chartered Surveyors
will be happy to discuss the service with you, both prior
to the inspection of the property and upon its completion.
